Janet has never been recorded or sounded like this before. The CD was recorded
in July 2009 at Richmond, Virginia’s Soundog Studio and is on the Nectarine
label. The 10 songs were produced by Adrian Olsen, who brings a fresh, new
approach Janet’s music. Featured musicians include Alexandra Spalding of Annie
and the Bee Keepers who sings backup and plays cello on “7th Story High.” Ken
Woodward, also of Annie and the Bee Keepers, plays upright bass on two tracks,
Allen Hulsey (The Turks) contributes a Jimmy Page inspired guitar solo on “Holy
Water,” Lindy Fralin plays sitar on “Real World,” and Steve Bassett plays Hammond
B-3 and piano.
